"Smitty", the easy-going dog
Smitty, "The Big Boy", an 80 lb. Australian Shepherd mix, get's very frightened and seeks comfort at thunder storms, often involving jumping onto the bed with Ginger and David. Cabot, a 45 lb., probably some sort of Border Collie mix, is very insecure and jealous. If Smitty's getting attention, such as during inclement weather, and, although Cabot is not afraid of thunder, he tries to work his way in so Smitty doesn't get an unfair amount attention. This makes the bed, and life in general, very interesting, and challenging, during thunderstorms.
